Mel B has a real sweet tooth
Oh no, Scary Spice tweeted a joke about date rape . . . EVERYONE PANIC!!! Via Contact Music:
British singer Melanie Brown has apologized for making an inappropriate comment about date rape, insisting she “did not mean to offend anyone”. The former Spice Girls star caused controversy with a post on Twitter.com in which she told fans, “My husband is asleep. I think I may date rape him!”
The message sparked outrage from her followers and Brown has now apologised for the remark. She writes, “Sorry for the ‘date rape comment’ I did not mean to offend anyone at all my sincere apologies!”
Some people need to chill the fuck out. It was pretty obvious her comment was meant as a joke. Of course you can’t really expect a rational reaction from people following Scary Spice on Twitter . . . because they’re following Scary Spice on Twitter. If you’re going to hang on her every word, you might as well follow a few other celebrities from the 90s that have just as many relevant things to say — celebrities like Kurt Cobain or River Phoenix.
